Homer was born March 4, 1929, in Macon, Mo.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service.
Homer was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Ann Ficken.
Survivors: Sons, Mike Ficken and wife, Jennifer, Scot Ficken and wife, Donna, Brett Ficken and wife, Patti; grandchildren, Linda and Erick Ficken; extended grandchildren, Jocelyn Hudson Morgan and Camille Hudson Averett; numerous nieces and nephews.
