Randy and his little dog, Leo were from Broomfield, Colorado. They set out in New Mexico in search of Forrest Fenn's treasure. He put his raft into the Rio Grande River near Santa Fe, New Mexico on January 5, 2016. He was reported missing on January 14, 2016 by his ex-wife, Linda Bilyeau. Randy's raft and dog were found the next day. On June 18, 2016, his skeletal remains were found nine miles downriver by the Army Corps of Engineers working along the Rio Grande River. That's rugged, difficult country. Every night for a month after January 5, 2016, the temperature was below freezing. In addition, a major snow storm came through there during that period. Therefore, Randy had little chance of surviving. He is survived by his ex-wife Linda Bilyeu; two daughter's Carissa Nieves and Michelle Stoker; many family and friends.
