Virginia Faulkner McSherry, wife of Dr James W Hann McSherry and daughter of the late Charles Jas Faulkner, of Martinsburg, who was a member of Congress from West Virginia and was Minister to France during the administration of President Buchanan, died at her home at Martinsburg Feb 25th. She had been ill several weeks from heart trouble. Born at Bodyville, the Colonial home of the Faulkners at Martinsburg she was educated in France and Northern schools for women in this country.
For many years she was president of the West Virginia Association of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and twice president-general of the National Daughters of the Confederacy.
She was a sister of Judge E Boyd and ex-U S Senator, Hon Chas J Faulkner.
