Joel married Annette Renee Kelly on September 11, 1999 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Carson City.
Joel was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sprint car racing. Joel had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a great joke. He was extremely proud of his son Brett. Joel loved watching him take part in his school plays.
Joel is survived by his wife of 16 years Annette; son Brett; parents Joel and Sharon Jones; brother Jason (Kaci) Jones; nieces and nephews: Alison Kelly, Caleb Kelly, Maya Kelly, Jacob Akin, Jared Akin, Lilliana Jones, Madison Jones, and Isabella Jones.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joel (Virginia) Jones and Russell (Leona) Gates.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 19th at St. Mary Catholic Church, Carson City. Interment was in Mary Knoll Cemetery.
