He excelled in athletics in his youth and served in the US Army from 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1953.
In 1957, he married the love of his life Irene Nowak.
As a career, he held the position of Chief Engineer at the Milwaukee Athletic Club until 1987 when he retired to Crivitz, WI and later to The Villages, FL.
Santo was an all-around handy-man and loved helping his friends and neighbors.
He was Roman Catholic in faith and attended St. Timothy Catholic Church.
In addition, he was a 32 Degree Master Mason, belonging to Tri-County Daylite Lodge 218 in Crivitz, WI; the Scottish Rite; Valley of Milwaukee, and Tri County Masonic High Twelve Club 674 in Florida. He also belonged to American Legion Posts in Wisconsin and Florida.
Santo is survived by his daughter Mary Beth Miller (special friend, Bob Benedict and his son Jake);
his grandson Derek Miller;
two sisters: Mary (Dick) Ash and Rose Groholski (Fred);
two brothers: John (Barbara) Bellante and Jim Brisson, as well as many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Irene Bellante (Nowak); father, Anthony Bellante (Carmella) and mother, Mary Anne Mollica.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church at a later date.
