Gloria Ardourel Maida Cannon, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many died peacefully on April 13, 2016 surrounded by family. Gloria was born to Joseph and Katherine "Billie" Maida on January 5th, 1933 in Denver. She worked at San Jose Catholic Church from 1967 - 1989.
Gloria is survived by her children John Cannon and wife Patricia, Katherine Zamora and husband Florencio, Mark Cannon and wife Jenny; her grandchildren Ami Mayfield and husband Jonathan, Kristen Cannon, Megan Cannon, Abigail Cannon, Lauren Cannon, Kevin Zamora, Sean Cannon and wife Isela, and Mackenzie Cannon; her great-grandchildren Shannon, Adeline and Charles, and many friends and extended family.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Katherine "Billie" Maida, her brother Joseph Maida, her husband Bruce Cannon, her nephew Larry Maida and her granddaughter Avery Zamora.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church (5455 Bee Caves Rd., Austin, Texas 78746) followed by a burial ceremony at Assumption Cemetery (3650 S Interstate 35, Austin, TX 78704). Family and friends are welcomed.
