Joel D. Parks inherited all of the property of his bachelor brothers. He replaced the old Aaron Parks (on Highway 55 from Fayetteville to Lynchburg before Mulberry on the left with a copper roof on one corner) with an elegant new one which still stands (2006). He spent his life as a farmer and dealer in livestock. Joel D. was the son of Woodroof & Dovey Cashion Parks and the grandson of Aaron and Oney Stubblefield Parks.
