Ernestine F. "Tina" Ross, age 91, of Gobles, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Allegan County Medical Care Community, Allegan. Ernestine was born Sept. 29, 1923 in Plainwell, MI the daughter of Earl and Wilma (Roberts) Meyers, and has lived in the Gobles area since 1957.
She retired from Sutherland Paper and was a member of the Allegan Wesleyan Church where she was fondly known as the cookie lady. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her 2 daughters, Betsy (Alfred) Linville of Gobles, Carolyn (Richard) Porter of Marcellus; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Warren Meyers of Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ross; daughter, Victoria; 2 sisters, Pearl Tyler, Arlene Kelsey; and 3 brothers, Robert Meyers, John Myers, and Earl Meyers.
The family will meet friends 3-5 PM Thursday at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home where the funeral service will be 5:00 PM with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating.
According to her wishes cremation will follow and burial of cremains will be at a later time in Covey Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice or to the Allegan County Medical Care Community.
