Leonard E. Wood, age 86 of Brown City, Flynn Township passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Christenson Care A.F.C. home in Marlette.
He was born February 14, 1929 in Silverwood, Michigan son to the late Ross and Neva (Brink) Wood.
He graduated from Mayville High School in 1946, where he enjoyed playing Tuba in the marching band.
He severed his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps 1947 to 1951.
Leonard married Beverly Davis - Hayward in Flint, Michigan. She preceded him in death October 12, 2009.
Mr. Wood farmed and worked 15 years at Pontiac GM Fisher Body Plant until his retirement.
He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brown City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00am in Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette, with Fr. Mark Prill officiating.
Memorials may be donated to Marlette V.F.W. Post 4837.
Burial will follow the funeral at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brown City.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday 1pm to 8pm and Wednesday 10am to 11am at Marsh Funeral Chapel Marlette.
