Ruth A. Gould, age 100, of Waterford, formerly of Marlette passed away peacefully, Monday, March 7, 2016 at Estabrooks of Haven Crest in White Lake, Michigan.
She was born December 7, 1915 in Marlette, Michigan to John and Eva (Prowse) Cousins.
She graduated from Marlette High School in 1933.
Ruth was united in marriage to Robert G. Gould March 24, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death December 12, 2002.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years.
Mrs. Gould worked for the Polewachs Clothing Store in Marlette and J.C. Penny’s in Waterford for several years.
She enjoyed china painting, sewing, crocheting and gardening.

Grandmother of Troy (Joycelynn) Hewitt, Scott (Jennifer) Hewitt, Lucinda (Dwain) Camp and Michelle (Gregg) Fracassa. Ruth is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, faithful & loving niece, Lois Anne McAbee, brother-in-law William Williams, as well as several nephews & nieces. Ruth was preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers, Lawrence & Raymond Cousins, sister Lorraine Williams, three step brothers, Alton, Donald & Lawrence Metzer and son-in-law James Hewitt.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Williams Lake Church of Nazarene, 2840 Airport Rd., Waterford, Michigan, with Pastor Daniel Wine officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral at 3:30pm in Marlette Cemetery.
