Bill J. James, 68 years old, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away in his home in April of 2016. He was born in Fairfield, Solano County, California in 1947 to Lucille Sullivan who raised Bill with Rusty Miller. Bill J. James enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964. He completed two tours in Vietnam as well as completing his GED. Bill also completed Modesto Junior College with a major in Auto Body and Mechanics. He became a truck driver and raised his family in the Central Valley, Gustine area. For the past 15 years Bill J. James has lived in Sallisaw, OK where he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, shooting his guns, and going to the casinos.
Bill J. James loved all of these things very much but most of all he was a proud veteran of the Navy and he loved his family and friends very much.
Bill is survived by his two daughters: Heather James and Traci Locke, ex-wife Carol L. James, son-in law Chris Locke, grandson Austin George Locke, granddaughter Shelby Locke, brothers: Richard Miller, Gary Miller, Mike James; sisters: Julia Harvel, Janie Hensley, Kathleen Kendall, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his only son Bill J. James Jr.
