Norman David Adams, Sr., 83 of DePaul Street, Emmitsburg, died Tuesday, May 2, in his home.

Born Sept 23, 1905 in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Charles Felix and Nora (Kirkhoff) Adams.

A lifelong resident of Emmitsburg, he was a retired painter.

Adams was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Emmitsburg.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Elizabeth (Snyder) Adams four children, Mrs. Janet Newcomer and Harry Thomas Adams, both of Emmitsburg, Norman David Adams Jr. of Audubon, Pa;, and William Felix Adams of Sabillasville; 10 grandchildren; and six great granddaughters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church by his pastor, the Rev. William J. Casey. Burial will be in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Emmitsburg.

The family will receive friends at the Skiles Funeral Home, 210 W. Main Street, Emmitsburg, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emmitsburg Ambulance Co., P. O. Box 427, Emmitsburg, Md. 21727.
