He was a member of Martinsville Baptist Church and a farmer.

He served our country honorably and was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors:
His wife; one niece: Vicki Horn; one nephew: Ronnie Plumlee; one great niece: Jessica Horn; one great nephew: Clay Fouts; one great-great niece and nephew; two aunts: Dorthy Carder and Marie Lowe; several cousins; and many friends.
