A graveside service for Opal Carter, age 105, of Houston, is scheduled at 11 o’clock in the morning Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Piney Grove Cemetery in Gallatin with Rev. Arthur B. Craig officiating.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville
Mrs. Carter passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Houston.
She was born June 19, 1910 in Clyde, Texas to Samuel and Hattie (Beech) Beard.
Opal was a member of the AT&T union and of Cypress Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Carter; and sons, Ray Carter and Wesley Earl Carter.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Dalbergo and husband Arthur, Linda Craig and husband Arthur B., all of Houston; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
