Mrs. Carter passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Houston.
She was born June 19, 1910 in Clyde, Texas to Samuel and Hattie (Beech) Beard.
Opal was a member of the AT&T union and of Cypress Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Carter; and sons, Ray Carter and Wesley Earl Carter.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Dalbergo and husband Arthur, Linda Craig and husband Arthur B., all of Houston; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
