CAREY- Carl D. Hunter, 70, Carey, died in veterans Administration Hospital, Cleveland, Saturday at 1:15 a.m.
He was born in Salem Township, Wyandot County, Jan. 1, 1906, to Earl and Jessie (Worst) Hunter. He married Merle Weaver on April 6, 1928, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughter, Mrs. William (Barbara) Myers, Findlay; Mrs. James (Marilyn) Roach, Levonia, Michigan; eight grandchildren, a sister, Berniece Hunter, Upper Sandusky; a brother Bruce, Columbus.
Mr. Hunter was a retired welder and served in World War II in the Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, Carey.
Services were held in Bristoll Funeral Home, Carey, the Rev. Hubert Boles, officiated. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, north of Carey.
