Reginald graduated from New Brunswick High School, in New Brunswick, N.J. in 1962. After high school, he entered the military. He served 3 years active duty, as Machinst's Mate First Class, in the U.S. Navy and 21 years in the Naval Reserves.
Reginald worked for the Federal Government at the following agency's: General Accounting Office, Atomic Energy Commission, and the Smithsonian's National Zoo; in Washington, D.C. where he a was a HVAC supervisor, of which he retired in 1994.
While recuperating from a motorcycle accident in 1975, Reginald, became a believer in Christ. By reading his Bible and the book The Late Great Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey, he saw the truth of God's Word, what God said would happen unfolding before his eyes. From that time forth, the scriptures were his driving force for life.
Reggie married Florrie (Flo) B. Anderson on September 10, 1977 at St. John United Baptist Church, in Washington, D.C. One of the greatest gifts Reggie gave to Flo was to accept, love and help raise her two daughters Jacqueline and Yvonne.
Reginald Stewart Coleman; the man – faithful and genuine, was the same whenever you saw him. Always pleasant, smiling, and a loving heart for others, he will be remembered for his one-line sayings; which he shared wherever he was. Reggie was a good listener and demonstrated Christ-like qualities. He was loyal as a mate, but also to friends. He always would see the good in others, no matter how they were acting, a quality he saw demonstrated in his mother Rose. A man of wisdom, he had a calm way of speaking to people. Even praying, he had a way of bringing the presence of God into the midst.
Reggie and Flo were both ordained for the Christian Ministry in 1984. Soon afterwards, God gave them their ministry vision, “Improving the well-being of children by Strengthening Marriages, developing Healthy Marriages and Relationship Skills and Supporting Families'. Thus, Jubilee International Ministries was established; a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry. Reggie and Flo have ministered at Langely Air force Base, Langely, VA., Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany and various churches throughout the United States. They were ministers at Evangel Cathedral Church for 12 years.
Reggie's ministry gifts were teacher and servant. These gifts he lived out fully in his daily life. He became a member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship in 2008. During this time he served in the following ministries: home group leader, Barnabus Food Pantry (prayed with patrons), served in Vineyard 101, established Foundations Class, Visitors Welcome Ministry. He also served at the CAPP, (alternative prison facility) for 5 years. Reggie and Flo hosted Marriage Matters Radio Program. They conduct a monthly Signs of the Times class.
Reggie leaves to cherish his memory his wife Florrie (Flo) B. Coleman, daughter Yvonne Anderson-Thomas and grandson Daniel L. Thomas of Boise, ID, brother William A. Coleman, Jr, and wife Deborah Coleman, of Bowie, MD, sister Janice Nesbitt and husband Girardeau Nesbitt, of Jacksonville, FL, one aunt Kathleen Johnson of Washington, D.C, ten nieces and nephews, six great-nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
Reggie's heart desire is for all believers to have a close relationship with the Lord and to walk in the Authority of Christ.
