Eleanor Franklin SAUGERTIES- Eleanor E. Franklin, 92, of Barclay Lane, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the Kingston City Hospital. Born June 29, 1923 in Oil City, Pa.; she was the daughter of the late Steven and Katie Bukas. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, she served during World War II where she was awarded the American Theatre and Victory Ribbon. After her honorable discharge she began her career with the United States Government as a Administrative Assistant specializing in contracts. She retired in 1978. A Saugerties area resident for 30 years she was a member of the Saugerties Senior Citizens Club where she held the office of Secretary and Treasurer. Predeceased by her daughter, Stephanie Baum in 1993, survivors include her son-in-Law, Robert Baum. Her Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Friends will be received Friday 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the New Paltz Rural Cemetery. Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
