Betty Ellis, 93, of Pathfork went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at her residence. Born March 9, 1923 in Bell County, she retired from Harlan App. Reg. Hospital where she worked for 29 years from 1956 to 1985 as a Radiology Technician most of those years. She was also one of the original members of the Insull Holiness Church which was established in the early 1950’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harman Ellis; her parents, James (Jim) Wilson and Mary Belle Green Wilson; her son, Billy Harman Ellis; three brothers, Cecil, Hobert and Carter Wilson; and four sisters, Geneva Wilson Smith, Margaret Wilson Roark, Josie Wilson Lawson and Catherine Wilson North.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Ellis Wilson, Calloway; three grandchildren, Christopher Ellis and wife Stephanie; Timothy Middleton and wife Becky; and Richard Hunter Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Braydon and Gracie Ellis whom she loved dearly; and her special friend and companion, her dog Benji, who stayed by her side.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Insull Holiness Church with Reverend Eli Craig and Reverend Ronnie Brock officiating . Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery, Pathfork. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
