Russell Jack Quinn age 87, of Mt. Vernon passed away 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Jack was born June 30, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois a son of Horace Russell and Dorothy Marie (Bumpus) Quinn. He was married to Doris (Tate) and they later divorced. His life companion was Leta Towns and she preceded him in death. Jack was a successful salesman having worked for various companies including Jewel Tea and Steffy's Home Furnishings. He loved spending time visiting with people and had a great sense of humor. Mr. Quinn is survived by his son, Mark Quinn and wife Lisa of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Donna and husband Greg Murdach of Bluford, Linda Quinn of Mt. Vernon and Shari and husband Mike Shannon of Mt. Vernon; brother, Ted Quinn and wife Caroline of Coronado, California; mother of his children, Doris Leuty of Mt. Vernon; 10 grandchildren, Brittani Quinn and fiancé Dale Kiesow, Elle Quinn, Roger Campbell, Jr., Steve Campbell and wife Hayley, Matthew Murdach, Lee Ann and husband Nathan Ferrell, Lori and husband Matt Davidson, Ryan Blankenship and special friend Jennifer Spotanski, Katie and husband Brandon Maberry and Kelsey Shannon; many great-grandchildren; nephew, Scott Quinn and wife Julie; and a niece, Courtney Quinn.
