A native of Union, he was a son of Dorothy Malpass Ivey of Union and the late Jack W. Ivey.
He was a member and deacon of Sumner Memorial Baptist Church and served as sound coordinator for the church and was a member of the Monarch Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed with Conso Products.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Williams Ivey; a sister, Sheryl Martin of Union; and a brother, Jack "Ricky" Ivey of Union.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, conducted by the Revs. Boyd Williams and Will Brown. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
