Boyd Earl Adams, 71, died February 23, 1990 in American Fork, Utah.

Born January 17, 1919 in Bingham, Utah to John A. and Ellen Marie Proctor Adams. Married Doris Lloyd September 30, 1939. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was active in law enforcement for 28 years, American Fork Chief of Police for 24 years. Member, Utah Peace Officers Assn. and Peace Officer of the Year in 1967. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, Sunday School Teacher and High Priest Group Advisor. Active in Boy Scouts as a counselor.Survived by his wife, Am. Fork, 3 sons, 3 daughters: Mrs. Gary (Kaye) Walker, No. Ogden; Howard Adams, Am. Fork; Mrs. Paul (Lyn) Smith, Anchorage, Alaska; Karl Adams, Witchita, Kansas; Jon Adams, Brigham City; Mrs. Jon (Arlene) Gertsch, Midway. 25 grandchildren.
Funeral Services held Monday 1:00 p.m. in the American Fork 24th Ward, 310 North 100 East. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the Church one hour prior to services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery. Military Rites by VFW, District #4
