Born May 22, 1918, in Johnstown, a son of the late Roy and Ola Abbott Marshall, he had resided in Canonsburg for the past 42 years.
He was employed as a fireman in the boiler room at Western State School and Hospital. He was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church and the VFW Post 191.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kraynak Marshall, two sons, Roy, of Eighty Four, and Bradley, at home; a daughter, Elizabeth, wife of Anthony Lombardi, Canonsburg, and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, William Marshall, of Bedford, Ohio; and four sisters, Leona Sauterlund, Jamestown, N.Y.; Ruth, wife of Emil Whitfield, Midland; Joy, wife of Roland Eckwald, and Gloria, wife of Wesley Waite, both of Jamestown, N.Y.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the John F. Yoney Funeral Home, 304 W. Pike St.
