Syrinda was also known as Cerinda, the daughter of Benjamin Brink and Caroline Turner Culver. She was the third wife of Joseph McHenry having married him Nov. 15, 1864 in Columbia Co., PA., by Montgomery Cole, Esq., a relative of Syrinda. They married shortly after the death of Syrinda's aunt, Helen Rebecca Brink who was the 2nd wife of Joseph McHenry. Helen Rebecca Brink was the daughter of Joshua Brink and Rebecca Cole. Helen Rebecca (Brink) McHenry was born 16 Dec. 1837 in Columbia Co., PA. Died abt. 1864 Shelby Co., Ohio - Burial place unknown.
Two children: Charles Clifford McHenry 1862-1932 and
Emma Jane McHenry 1864-1928. Both raised by Syrinda after the death of their mother.
