Herbert Eugene Hart, 80, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in the Valley Health Care Center. Mr. Hart was born in Smyth County to the late Victor and Mattie Sherwood Hart and was preceded in death by his sister Stella Williams. He worked at Burlington Industries and was the assistant plant manager of Buster Brown in Marion and Chilhowie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Hart; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Hart and wife Susanna, Roanoke, Gary Lee Hart and wife Sharon, Marion; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Norma Hart, Marion; four grandchildren, Casey Lee and husband Michael Hall, Courtney Lauren Hart, Adam Jeffrey Hart, Mary Anne Hart. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery with full Military Honors rendered by the Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667.
