Sgt, Hugh E. Wellman, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Wellman of Huntington, was buried in the Wellman Cemetery at Fort Gay, last Sunday, following funeral services at Reger Chapel. Sgt. Wellman was executed by the Japanese in May 1942, during the Bataan Death March in the Philippines. In addition to the parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Samuel E. Haworth of Huntington and Miss Betty Wellman at home; two brothers, Paul and Joe at home.
