Billy Joe Watford
Billy Joe Watford age 56 of Graceville passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1959 to the late Milton James and Nelma Grace Watford. Billy was a native of the area, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and worked as a road grader operator for the Holmes County Road Department for seventeen years. He was a good hearted man that would do anything for anyone. Everyone that knew him knew that he was a jokester that loved playing pranks on people and he was always in the best of spirits. He was a great father that loved his daughters and grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and a grandson, John Dylan Collins. He is survived by his daughters, Selisa Shiver (Jimmy Shiver Jr.) and Amy Proctor; brothers, James Watford (Janice), Steve Watford, and Wendell Watford; sisters, Brenda Scott (Ray), Betty Dienes (Bruce), and Teresa Watford; grandchildren, Austin Collins, Erin Shiver, Caleigh Davis, Jimmy Shiver III , Jacob Shiver, Erika Shiver, and Jaycelynn Proctor. Funeral services for Billy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
