Hazel Creasman Hennessee, 86, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, while at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
She was born on April 5, 1930, to the late Rev. Earl and Edith Creasman. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Billy Lewis Hennessee; a son, Jackie Lewis Hennessee; granddaughter, Kimberly Hennessee Moses; and sister, Patsy Creasman Hayes.
Hazel was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and always had a true passion for music and Gospel singing. She was always noted in the Gospel singing arenas as the best alto singer around with a quality God-given talent. Hazel sang with the Decatur Quartet for many years and traveled to many churches and conventions, as well as singing at many funerals on request.
