Leah Victoria Lawson, 22, of Princeton WV, passed away, Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Welch WV. Born September 28, 1993, in Princeton WV, the only child of Larry Lawson, and the late Charlynn J. Kish-Lawson (1955-2002), she was their greatest joy in life.

She resided with the love of her life, her four year old daughter, Leighara McKell Lawson. Leah was a 2011 graduate of Mount View High School, and a 2014 LPN graduate from the McDowell County Career and Technical Center. She was employed at the Maples in Bluefield, WV.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by, her grandmothers, Norma "Vicki" Cunningham-Kish (1926-Deceased) and Leola Cochran-Lawson (1936-1993), and her uncle, Jeffrey R. Kish (1961-2002).

In addition to her daughter, she will be lovingly remembered by her dad, Larry Lawson and fiancé Martha Lewis, of Pageton WV, her grandfathers, Edgar "Sonny" Lawson (1935-2020) of Gary WV, and Julius Zigman Kish (1920-2018) of Bluefield WV, her best friend, who was more like a sister, Traci Walters. She will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Leah Lawson will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2016 from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Pastor Donald Farmer III officiating; burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton WV.
