Roy L. Bentley, 76 of Huron, OH passed away Sunday April 10, 2016 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

He was born on August 22, 1939 in Morristown, TN, in 1959 he moved to Sandusky, OH and then to Huron, OH in 1976. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999 after working 35 years. Roy was also a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Huron Eagles, the VFW of Vermillion and the Vermillion AMVETS.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva; a daughter, Rebecca (Eugene) Wilson of Huron; grandchildren, Amanda M. (Eric) Smith of Huron, Tabitha (Nick) Pyles of Sandusky and Tommy (Janie) Myers, US Marine Corps, of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Dakoda Smith, Austin, Navaeh and Xavier Pyles, Jameson, Connor and Skyler Myers; sister, Louise (Mike) Dohrman of Russellville, TN, and brother, Dale (Mary) Bentley of Morristown, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys (Harville) Bentley in 2009; parents, Roy and Cleo (Jenkins) Bentley; 4 sisters, and 1 brother.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5-7PM at Mayes Family Services, Downtown Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7PM. A graveside service will be conducted.
