If Eaton ever had a gravestone, it is gone. This cemetery is on his residence, and the readable stones date to his lifetime.

Eaton was the son of John and Sarah Hackney Edwards. He married Meriam Bennett in 1832, and they had the following children (from the 1850 census):

John, 1833
Marcus De Lafayette, 1834-1919
Sarah, 1836
Irena Arvena, 1838
Eaton Jr, 1840
Robert G, 1845
Francis Marion, 1848-1919

Eaton was the administrator of his father's estate. He inherited some land, bought some, and received some as warrants for public service. At the time of his death, he owned more than 1000 acres. Old Edwards Lane crosses about the center of his Hurricane Creek property, and he owned additional property about two miles south on the north side of Fall Creek.

The cemetery and Old Edwards Lane are on private property, and are fading away.
