Inez Skipper Keith McCall was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. She went to be with our Lord and Shepherd on April 18, 2016. She was born on June 6, 1925 and raised in Wewahitchka, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mallie and Luvonia Skipper; her first husband, Jean Terry Keith; her sons, Jean Skipper Keith and Gregory Hope Keith; her grandson, John David Keith; and her second husband, Percy McCall. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Etta B. Granger, Colline Anderson, and Montez Lesner as well as her brothers, Gillette Skipper, Otis Skipper and Billy Skipper.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Keith of Marietta; stepson, Johnnie McCall of Youngstown, FL; granddaughter, Mary Mooney and her husband, Brad Plemmons of Union Mills, NC; Mary’s mother, Barbara Thornton of Rutherfordton, NC; nieces, Linda Tumpane of Woodstock and Esta Underwood of Marietta; two great-grandsons, Clint Mooney and Gage Plemmons of Union Mills, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

When Inez was in high school, she was athletic enough to be on the men’s basketball team. She moved to Marietta, GA in the 1940’s with her sister, Colline. There she had a family and worked briefly for Romeo Hudgins Welding and Dr. Charles Underwood before building a career at Lockheed as an Electrical Mechanic Supervisor. She retired from Lockheed, but remained very active in their retirees group until just recently. She remarried after retirement and moved back to Youngstown, FL during that time. After the death of her second husband, she moved back to Marietta. She was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church and enjoyed her Phebeans Sunday School Class and Church every Sunday.

Receiving of friends will be held on Sunday April 24, 2016, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Mayes-Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
