MARK K. HAINES NEW CREEK, W.Va. — Mark Kevin Haines, 48, of New Creek, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at Romney as the result of a work related accident. Born on June 3, 1967, at Cumberland, he was a son of Robert Eugene Haines of Rawlings and Margaret Evonne (Taylor) Haines of McCoole. Mr. Haines was employed for nearly 25 years with Carl Belt Paving in Cumberland. A 1985 graduate of Bruce High School, he was a member of Laborers International Union 616, Cumberland and was an avid hunter and Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his fiancee, Rhonda C. Layton; one brother, Steven E. Haines and wife, Diane, of Westernport; one sister, Karen Roby and husband, Jeff, of New Creek; one niece, Kourtni Roby; one nephew, Scott Roby and a large number of cousins. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gwen Wolford officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson Cemetery, Dawson. The family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be directed to Nancy Hanks Post 3518, VFW, 179 Armstrong Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
