Clyde Robert Simmons, 69, of Kankakee, passed away Wednesday (April 20, 2016) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
He was born Nov. 3, 1946, in Kankakee, the son of Leslie and Elsie Redman Simmons.
Clyde married Lana Holmes on Feb. 15, 1969, in Kankakee.
Clyde was the owner/operator of Grummish and Simmons Locksmiths. He also was a semi driver for Deluzak Inc.
Surviving are his wife, of Kankakee; son, Todd (Samantha Rinehart) Simmons, of Kankakee; daughter, Stacey Simmons-Senzig, of Pekin; and stepdaughter, Carrie (Darwin) Armstrong, of Roanoke; brothers, Joseph (Gloria Rasmussen) Simmons Sr., of Kankakee, and Leslie (Jackie) Simmons Jr., of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Private burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse. Memorials may be made for the wishes of the family.
