Clyde married Lana Holmes on Feb. 15, 1969, in Kankakee.
Clyde was the owner/operator of Grummish and Simmons Locksmiths. He also was a semi driver for Deluzak Inc.
Surviving are his wife, of Kankakee; son, Todd (Samantha Rinehart) Simmons, of Kankakee; daughter, Stacey Simmons-Senzig, of Pekin; and stepdaughter, Carrie (Darwin) Armstrong, of Roanoke; brothers, Joseph (Gloria Rasmussen) Simmons Sr., of Kankakee, and Leslie (Jackie) Simmons Jr., of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Private burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse. Memorials may be made for the wishes of the family.
