Gary Charles “Fuzzy” Ludwig, age 71, of Carroll passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Central Iowa Health Care in Marshalltown.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll with military honors conducted by the Carroll American Legion.

Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Friday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 P.M. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.

Born on November 27, 1944 in Carroll he was the son of Harold and Loretta (Caldwell) Ludwig. He grew up in the Auburn area where he attended grade school, he then attended St. Bernard’s Catholic School in Breda and graduated from Lake View –Auburn High School in 1963. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Viet Nam Conflict. Gary lived in Omaha following his military service where he had several jobs in sales and lived in several locations. Gary has made his home at the Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown since 2012.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Pat Fagan.
