Jimmie is the son of Loyd Edward and Frances Lillian (Shafer) Hooper. Jim was a hardworking man that believed you stepped up the plate and earned what you were being paid. He was a mechanic most of his life. Jim also worked in the oil field spending time in Africa. Jim worked as an electrician, plumber and general handy man. If something didn’t work he could rig up a way to fix it.
Survivors are his wife Helen, children Jimmie Wayne Hooper of Mannford, Oklahoma, Dianna Burgess of Mannford, Oklahoma, Donna Christine Myers of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Russell Williams of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two brothers Tommy Hooper, Garry Hooper, two sisters Frances Thomas, Janet Wharton; numerous grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In addtion to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his brother Paul Hooper and son Charles Williams.
Services will 11:00 am Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
