Diane Weltin Peters age 58 of North Branch died Feb. 26, 2014. She was born September 24, 1955 in Sandusky to Alfred and Irene Weltin. Diane gradusted from Brown City High School Class of 1975 and Saginaw Business School in 1975. She married Thomas Peters on July 19, 1980.
Diane was a homemaker and mother and had also been a Trust Officer at Second National Bank and Lapeer County Bank and Trust. She also served as Deerfield Township Clerk from 1988 – 1992. She enjoyed scrapbooking and making crafts.
She is survived by husband Thomas Peters, a daughter Stacey Peters Hanson, a son Christopher (Brandi) Peters, a granddaughter Calimaraine Peters, a brother Alfred Weltin and her mother Irene Weltin Fodo.
She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Weltin.
A gathering and viewing for family and friends will be Friday from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
Memorial donations may be made to the Michigan Commission for the Blind.
