John Wesley Carney, 74, of Ellisville, died Thursday at Jones County Community Hospital.
The funeral service was at 3:30 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel. The Revs. Jimmy Conn and Ralph Graves officiated.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from the Masonite Corp. after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his widow, Maude Easterling Carney of Ellisville; sons, John Wayne Carney, Paul David Carney and Timothy Martin Carney, all of Ellisville; a daughter, Norma James of Ellisville; a sister, Mrs. Sylvester Archie of Lucedale; and four grandchildren.
Members of the Ellisville Church of God served as pallbearers.
Jones Funeral Home of Ellisville was in charge of arrangements.
