Bertha Louisa Anderson Erickson of New Sweden, 60, died February 10th at Cary Memorial Hospital in Caribou after a long illness. She was born February 8, 1911, in New Sweden and was the daughter of Carl and Anna Nelson Anderson. She married Oscar C Erickson on February 8, 1927. She was a member of Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church of New Sweden.

Survivors are three sons, Oscar W and William G, both of New Sweden, and Richard C Erickson of Caribou; four daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Irene) Patrick of Woodland, Miss Shirley Erickson and Miss Janet Erickson of New Sweden and Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Bechtel of Elkhart, IL; seven brothers, Gustaf, Roland Vaughn, Waldo, Wallace, Linwood and Gaylin Anderson, all of New Sweden; seven sisters, the Misses Lillie, Eva and Velma Anderson of New Sweden, Mrs. Albin (Ethel) Carlson of Westmanland, Mrs. David (Elba) Carlson, Mrs. Gilbert (Tillie) Johnson and Mrs. Allen (Phyllis) Hanson, all of New Sweden; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Gleichman officiating. Pallbearers were Chester Carlson, Norman Anderson, Gaylin Anderson, Wallace Anderson, Roland Anderson and Gareth Johnson. Interment will be in the New Sweden Cemetery in the spring.
