Obituary / Additional Information: New Bremen- Louis Wehmeyer, age 80, R.R.1, New Bremen, died at noon Saturday at the Valley Nursing Home here. (St.Marys) He had been ill for six weeks suffering with a complication of diseases. He had been transferred to the nursing home from Joint Township Memorial hospital where he had been hospitalized for several weeks. Mr. Wehmeyer had made his home for the last five years in Kettlersville with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur SHROYER. He was born April 15, 1887, in Auglaize county, the son of Henry and Sophy Wehmeyer. On April 15, 1915 he maried Pauline Settlage who preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 1961. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Shroyer, of Kettersville, a son, Robert Wehmeyer, R.R.1, New Bremen, eight grandchildren, one great grandson, a sister, Mrs. Dora WARNER, of St. Marys, and a brother, the Rev. Herman Wehmeyer of Bethel, Conn. There are many friends here and in Kettlersville. Three children died in infancy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters. Mr. Wehmeyer had retired from active farming several years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen, with the Rev. E.H. Bassler, D.D. officiating. Burial will take place in German Protestant cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
