One of her marriage records and the death record of her daughter Georgia Madeline lists her maiden name as Roush.
In 1902 in Manassa, Conejos, Colorado Venia married William Mitchell. Over the years she married a total of 4 times. She had 4 children: Artie Belle Mitchell, Georgia Madeline Mitchell, Arthur (Bud) Delp Mitchell and Daisy Lydia Mitchell.
