Freddie Adams, 80, of Marshall, formerly of St. Joseph, died Monday, April 11, 2016.

A Masonic and Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Marshall.

Freddie Dale Adams, 80, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, surrounded by his loved ones.

A Masonic Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, with a Celebration of Life Service following at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 710 E. Yerby in Marshall, where he was a Deacon and Elder, also a member of the committee when building a new church in 1967. Reverend Dr. Dan Festa will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Join the family for a reception in the church dining room following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church for the trumpet chimes for the organ. Arrangements are in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Freddie was born June 28, 1935, and raised in St. Joseph, MO, to the late Mildred (Young) and Albert Adams. He graduated from Lafayette High School and attended St. Joseph Junior College. He accepted a position with Federated Insurance Company and moved to Marshall in 1965. He retired from Federated Insurance on January 1, 1994.

On April 10, 1955, Freddie married B. Lauretta (Maddox), who survives of the home; a son, Don D. Adams and wife Dianne of Lake Ozark, MO and Palm Coast, FL; a daughter, Sandra S. Adams and granddaughter, Haley S. Adams both of Columbia, MO.

Freddie was a Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri A.F. & A.M. 2000-2001. He was also a member of many other Masonic Bodies including the York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Royal Order of Scotland, Red Cross of Constantine and Allied Masonic Degrees.
