Ralph McCormick, 04/28/1950 - 04/19/2016

Ralph McCormick, 65 of Waycross, passed away Tuesday (April 19, 2016) at Mayo Clinic Health System following a brief illness.

Born in Madison, West Virginia., his parents were Shelby McCormick and Maude Bell McCormick. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Elaine McCormick McKinney; four sisters; and his niece, Mary Susan Allbritton.

Ralph retired after 30 years from Laura S. Walker State Park, where he worked as a Park Ranger. He was of the Protestant Faith, and enjoyed carpentry and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Williams McCormick, of Waycross; his son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Angela McCormick, Jr., of Racepond; three grandchildren, Joseph McKinney, Ralph Francis McCormick, and David Allen McCormick; and a sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Jack Johns, of Nahunta. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday (April 23, 2016) at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Hickox officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Johns, Jamey Fletcher, Roger Myers, Ralph McCormick, David McCormick, Tony Cobb, and Joseph McKinney.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
