John Thomas or J.T.as he was nicked named by his family was the first born child to the union of Osie/Osey Lee Gan and Lola Mae Brown. He was born in Navarro County Texas but the family moved to Plain Dealing Louisiana some time in 1940

As an adult J.T. moved to Patterson California where he raised his family. When he died in California his family brought his body back to the family graveyard in Plain Dealing Louisiana to be buried.

J.T.'s final resting place is Plain Dealing Cemetery in the GAN family plot.
