Tommy Russell Turner of Davenport, Florida passed away on April 18, 2016. He was 72. Tommy was born on March 6, 1944 in Winter Haven, Florida to Russell and Catherine Gill Turner and had been a lifelong resident of Polk County. He worked in the citrus industry with both Holly Hill Citrus and the Haines City Citrus Growers Assoc. Tommy was of the Primitive Baptist faith and was a huge supporter of Haines City High School Football. Tommy is predeceased by his parents and survived by his sister, Carolyn Gaffney; nephew, Ryan Gaffney and niece, Megan Baker. A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport.
