Mrs. Bonnie Horton Brock, age 76 of Plantation Walk, Carrollton, Georgia died Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Mrs. Brock was born in Carroll County, Georgia on March 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Onis Jackson Horton and Alice Lizzie Green Horton.
She retired after 25 years with the Carrollton City School System where she worked as a secretary and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Buren Brock; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger M. and Vicki Brock of Hartselle, Alabama, Gary Lee and Kim Brock of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Bub Brock of Carrollton, Hilda Ann and Bobby Waters of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Cammie Cooner, Katie Gillilard, Eric Brock, Jeremy Brock; great grandchildren, Olivia and McKenna Cooner, Tannyth, Ansleigh, and Piper Brock; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Janie Loftin and Ramona Brock. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilford Horton and James Ellis Horton and step father, Ben Moses.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 15 at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Gentry and Dr. Howard Cobble officiating. Music will be by Greg Hendrix.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Brock, Tim Loftin, Joe McGinnis, Rusty Reeves, Chuck Harmon and Tony Altman.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
Almon Funeral Home of Carrollton has charge of arrangements.
