Vera Marie Henry James, 91, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, in Jonesboro. Vera was born on May 7, 1924, in Williford, Arkansas, to Andrew Jackson and Dortha Mae Davis Henry.
Vera was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Westridge Church of Christ.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wade Hampton James; daughter, Lacretia Wadene James; brother, A.J. Henry, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Milner.
Survivors include, son, Michael (Molly) James, of Pocahontas; daughter, Teresa Palmer, of Cypress, Texas; grandchildren, Tamara (Bernie) McCrossen, of Pocahontas, Brent (Debora) Mize, of Lakewood, Colorado, Angela (Marvin) Thomas, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Krystal (Allan) Barrios, of Pocahontas, Marc Palmer, of Dayton, Texas, Amy (Chris) Lynch, of Pocahontas, Travis (Shelly) James, of Pocahontas, Bryan (Larinda) James, of Pocahontas; great grandchildren, Natasha, Meaghan, Hunter, Madison, Max, James, Abbey, Lawson, Austin, Karson, Spencer, Emma, Noah, Zach, Casey, Ryan, and Katrina; great great granddaughter, Zoey.
