Mrs. Rosina Hivick of Davis was killed near Richmond last Saturday on her way home from a visit to her sons, all of whom are engaged in work on the railroad on which she met her death. She expected to spend Sunday in Richwood, returning to Davis on Monday. Before the train reached its destination, a runaway car of lumber crashed into the car occupied by Mrs. Hivick and some thirty other passengers, killing her and badly injuring Mrs. McDermott also of Davis, and causing a panic amongst the other passengers. The remains were taken to Clarksburg Sunday where they were prepared for burial afterwards being taken to Davis Monday. On Wednesday morning services were held in the city and internment made at the Catholic Cemetery there.
