Born Jan. 24, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Kathleen Esser. Karen attended G.A.R. High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was formerly employed at Stel-Mar Manufacturing, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are sisters Carol Farrell, Yatesville, Pa.; Nancy Roberts, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Joan Boston, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; brothers George Boston, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; William Boston, Kingston, Pa.; companion, Ronald Uravage, Yatesville, Pa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Robert Zanicky, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville.
