Susan O'Connor was born in Portland, Oregon to Margaret and Francis O'Connor. She attended the Holy Child Academy with her sister Mary and went on to the University of Oregon where she became a Kappa Alpha Theta. She graduated from Portland State with a degree in education.
She was married to Richard Easton whom she met while working a summer job in the Grand Canyon. After they finished their educations, Susan and Richard moved to Indiana to raise their family. She is survived by her children; Brad, Mark, and Holly Easton as well as her sister Mary.
