MRS. JOHN A. DOYLE
Mrs. Florence Bates Doyle, widow of John A. Doyle, formerly of Canandaigua, died Saturday (Jan. 9, 1954) in St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, after a long period of failing health. She resided at 3235 E. Lake Rd., Livonia, on Conesus Lake.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Doyle were natives of Canandaigua. At the time of his death in 1939, he was head of the Doyle Detective Agency of Rochester which he established.

Survivors are four daughters and four sons: Mrs. Marjorie A. Miller and Mrs. Marion Frazier, Conesus Lake, Livonia; Mrs. Florence R. Waldron, Mrs. Rosemary Dowling, Arlie T., John G., Kenneth V., and Robert E. Doyle, all of Rochester; 33 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Doyle was a sister-in-law of Miss Ann Doyle of Canandaigua.

Friends may call at M. J. Miller’s Son Funeral Home, 1625 Mt. Hope Ave., Rochester, where services will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a. m. and at 9 a. m. from Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.
